VPN Concentrator & High Throughput Appliance
Mako 7600 appliances are available in both physical and virtual variants. They employ a host of industry-leading security technologies to protect corporate networks and connect data centers. The Mako 7600 enables organizations to terminate thousands of Virtual Private Network (VPN) tunnels with the added functionality of the Mako Central Management System (CMS). The Mako System makes it easy to manage, monitor and report on all network activity, in addition to providing world-class VPN termination.
Mako VPN Cloud (SD-WAN)
Mako VPN Cloud is a patented SD-WAN technology which replaces the need for IPsec tunnels and legacy MPLS networks. It seamlessly connects remote distributed enterprise locations with central offices, each other and trusted third parties. Network traffic destined for internal resources is intelligently and securely routed through the Mako VPN Cloud whilst all other traffic can be broken out locally, optimizing VPN performance for critical business communication. Mako 7600 appliances also support BGP for easily handling more complex data center configurations.
Non-Mako Appliances can be incorporated into a Mako SD-WAN using IPsec. Whilst they won’t benefit from all of the management and control capabilities afforded by through the Mako Central Management System, they can still become part of the same logical network.
Two or more Mako 7600 concentrators can be configured in High Availability, supporting Active Active, Active Passive or Load Balancing modes.
Mako 7600 appliances securely report back to the CMS every few minutes. This data is used to generate easy-to-understand graphical reports about network usage, including data use by site, user and timeframe, real-time reporting of intrusion attempts, and records of Internet traffic.
Rated to 3000 VPN tunnels
Rated to terminate up to 3000 VPN Cloud tunnels, this concentrator is designed to handle growth spikes and flexible network routing with ease.
Small form-factor pluggable (SFP) ports accept a variety of different network interface modules, including Ethernet and fiber-optic interfaces. This brings both added density and maximum flexibility to a Mako device’s WAN/LAN port options. The SFP+ ports on the Mako 7600-S support speeds up to 10 Gbps.
24-Hour Remote Control
Because Mako 7600 appliances utilize the cloud-managed Mako Networks CMS, network administrators have 24-hour secure remote control over Internet connections and VPNs from anywhere in the world.

The 7600 features Intrusion Detection and Prevention Next Generation Firewall technology; all traffic entering and leaving a network is scrutinized to ensure network connections are authorized and intrusion attempts identified and blocked.
Port scanning protection detects and repels intruders attempting to discover network vulnerabilities by blocking IP addresses searching for open ports.
Mako appliances also feature worm detection to identify and nullify threats from infected host computers on internal networks.
As all Mako Appliances are managed through the cloud using the CMS, software is automatically patched and updated on every Mako appliance connected to the Internet anywhere in the world. Complex firewall rules can be templated and deployed to thousands of Mako Appliances via the CMS, massively reducing the time to implement changes and ensuring an organisations security posture is up to date.
