Strategic Acquisition Expands Mako’s Hardware Development Capabilities for Continued Growth & Innovation
CHICAGO – September 25, 2024 – Mako Networks, a leading provider of secure, cloud-managed networks for distributed enterprises, announced today that it has acquired Australia-based Traverse Technologies, a long-time supplier and development partner. This strategic acquisition reinforces Mako Networks’ commitment to innovation and expands its capacity to deliver next-generation advanced network solutions to customers around the world.
Traverse Technologies provides PCB-level development of components and hardware devices enabling secure networking, including 5G capable routers, secure IoT gateway appliances and network firewalls. Traverse has been instrumental in the design and development of Mako’s industry-leading hardware platforms, having been the architect behind the Mako A2, 6500 and 6600 series product portfolio. Acquiring Traverse significantly expands Mako’s in-house hardware design and engineering capabilities.
The addition of Traverse’s capability and intellectual property will accelerate Mako’s enhancement and expansion of its hardware innovation pipeline, shorten time-to-market for new products, and deliver even more powerful top-tier network solutions to customers.
