CHICAGO, APRIL 27, 2022Mako Networks is participating in-person at the annual Conexxus Conference and renewing its commitment as a Diamond Sponsor. From May 1-5, suppliers and retailers will gather in Tucson, Arizona for the Petroleum/C-Store industry’s main event devoted to technology. The Petroleum/C-Store market is a key component of Mako’s business, particularly in the US, with Mako-managed secure network solutions used at tens of thousands of domestic petroleum retail locations.

Mako has steadily increased its participation with Conexxus for the past five years, adding Diamond-level sponsorship last year in addition to its Gold-level membership status. This affirms the network technology vendor’s appreciation for the work Conexxus does to support innovation in the industry and recognizes Conexxus’ role as a leader in promoting secure networking for C-Store and Petroleum operators and customers across the country.

Conexxus suppliers, brands, dealers and vendors work together to devise standards and promote pioneering technology advancements. Conexxus relies upon the voluntary time and expertise of industry personnel across all sectors. Mako Networks President Simon Gamble has recently taken on the role of Security Advisory Working Group Chair. “We think it’s vital to be part of the standards process and to interact with our present and future customers at the conference,” said Gamble. “The role of the Security Advisory Working Group is to ensure security is baked into all the Conexxus standards.”

The nonprofit’s popular conference will feature committee meetings, workshops, speakers and scheduled leisure activities. In addition to the in-person conference, there will be the opportunity to register, attend and interact virtually via live broadcast. “In terms of education sessions, we have some really great panels including an IT Think Leaders panel and What Our Future Might Look Like in 2030 in the Convenience and Fuel Industry,” said Linda Toth, Managing Director of Conexxus.
