Mako US customers can now choose T-Mobile as their cellular data service provider for preconfigured Mako appliances.
ELGIN, IL, November 13, 2019– Mako Networks has added T-Mobile as a cellular data service provider option to deliver LTE WAN connectivity for preconfigured Mako appliances. T-Mobile joins BT, Telstra, Spark, Orange, Jersey Telecom, Sprint, and Verizon as wireless carrier options for Mako appliances. Mako appliances continue to support almost all carriers should a customer wish to supply their own SIM card.
A core feature of the latest Mako 6600-M appliance is its ability to be configured for Fast Failover for High Availability, combining fixed‐line WAN connections with single- or dual-SIM LTE in any custom connection order or failover pattern desired to keep critical business systems online during unexpected network outages. Having a wide range of cellular providers available to support this functionality significantly broadens the Mako audience.
“We are pleased to add another major US cellular carrier as an option for our customers,” said Simon Gamble, President of Mako Networks. “By expanding our internally-offered LTE options to include T-Mobile, we continue to provide our customers with more choices and more flexibility to build their networks as efficiently as possible, regardless of broadband technology or carrier.”
In addition to Fast Failover, key benefits of deploying the Mako System include industrial-grade security features for compliance with PCI DSS; the Mako Central Management System (CMS) for cloud-based configuration, reporting, and diagnostic tools; flexibility to suit any networking need for either preserving an existing network or starting a new network; and exceptional value, given Mako’s high quality, affordable pricing, and likely reduced costs.
