Mako Networks and CBE, Inc. to Offer Superior Capabilities of Security
and Deployment to Enterprise Retail Customers
Chicago, IL — Mako Networks and CBE, Inc. have announced a partnering agreement to add Mako Networks to CBE’s portfolio of solutions for retailers. CBE customers can now purchase the Mako System integrated as a part of CBE’s offerings and can utilize CBE’s national installation team, which covers more than 40 states with full-time in-house field technicians to expedite the installation process and receive seamless ongoing support.
The Mako System creates simple, secure Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) certified networks for distributed enterprises (multisite businesses), such as retail chains or franchises. With an easy-to-use cloud-based Central Management System (CMS), Mako allows administrators to manage the network connections at thousands of sites through a single web interface without jeopardizing their networks’ PCI-compliant status. The solution also includes built-in Wi-Fi and Mako Guardian content filtering and reporting, in addition to an array of other value-added features, including 4G/LTE cellular failover and automated 24×7 monitoring and alerts to help maintain network security.
The CBE and Mako partnership is a perfect marriage between CBE’s impressive footprint in the convenience store and petroleum station verticals working with POS systems and the heightened level of security and network functionality that the Mako system provides, including two-factor remote access and secure VPNs between stores, customer headquarters, and even CBE.
“This partnership is a very logical step for CBE,” said Loring White, CEO of CBE, Inc. “We have provided industry-leading technology solutions to petroleum and C-store customers for many years. As their network environments have evolved and their needs have changed, we identified Mako Networks as a great managed firewall solution. As we learned more about it, we also found that Mako’s cloud management/network appliance combination offers a unique way to ensure our customers’ networks are secure and PCI-DSS compliant while still providing easy VPN connectivity for store communications and digital video.”
“A partnership between Mako and CBE is exciting because of the fit. Our current presence in the petroleum industry, with customers like Chevron, BP and Citgo marries perfectly with CBE’s extensive history in the space and clear understanding of petro customer needs,” explains Jason Kubasak, CEO of Mako Networks. “CBE’s highly qualified field-based tech presence gives Mako accelerated capability of deployment and a much stronger customer-facing field presence.”
