Mako Networks Hires U.S. Business Development Manager Guy Markus

Mako Networks has hired Guy Markus of Atlanta as business development manager in a newly created position on Mako’s North American sales team. He starts with the company immediately, responsible for direct sales, account management, and growth of Mako’s U.S. customer base.

Guy joins Mako after working as a strategic sales executive for Cybera, where he was one of the top salespeople in the network security company, regularly exceeding a multimillion-dollar sales quota and responsible for developing both direct and channel sales strategies.

In other prior roles, he was a solution strategist for CA Technologies, a software and services company that develops network and security systems, and NCR Corporation, a Fortune 500 leader in retail, self-service and general business automation.

His sales experience incorporates a wide variety of products and services, from private label consumer goods, to touchscreen kiosks, to network security and Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) compliance solutions.

The addition also marks continued expansion of Mako’s US presence, following hire of Stan Herring as director of business development in July.

Guy holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of South Alabama, and will remain based in Atlanta.

Mako Networks’ President for North America, Simon Gamble, says:
“Guy is a proven, high-achieving sales professional that has consistently ranked among the top performers in every role he has held. We anticipate Guy’s efforts will provide a significant boost in establishing our US customer base, and his background and experience in network security and PCI DSS compliance will surely be of use in bringing our solutions to the American market. We are excited to have him on our team.”
