Mako Hires Director of Business Development Stan Herring, Expands North American Sales Team

Mako Networks has hired Stan Herring as Director of Business Development in a newly created senior position on Mako’s North American team. He joins the company immediately, responsible for management and growth of Mako’s U.S. and Canadian sales channel.

Stan arrives at Mako Networks after working in Product Development at Cybera Inc. for four years, where his responsibilities included research, development and market launches for new networking and security products and solutions. His areas of special expertise include Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) compliance, embedded router/firewall development, and environmental management and monitoring solutions.

In other prior roles, Stan served as an Advanced IP Solutions Engineer for Sprint, and Sales Engineer for Qwest Communications.

He was also owner of Delta Signal—a manufacturer of Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) phone systems for medium- to large-sized enterprises—where he first cultivated his background in product development and Internet services.

Stan holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Memphis, and will remain based in his home state of Tennessee in his role with Mako.

Mako Networks’ President for North America, Simon Gamble, says:
“Stan brings a unique background to his role at Mako, with many years of experience in networking, security and cloud-based systems related to our own. Moreover, his understanding of PCI DSS compliance will be immensely valuable to further Mako’s unique accreditation and expertise in this area. I’m certain that our partners and customers in North America will find Stan an invaluable resource to assist in growing their sales of Mako Networks services. We welcome him onboard as we continue to build our new North American team.”
